For Wind & Waves was my first life-size commissioned work. The first edition
was installed in the Cancer garden at Richland at Palmetto Health Hospital in
Columbia, SC.
The book has 4 high reliefs- a lion for courage; a dolphin for companionship;
the elephant for memory and the bird to tell the story. Along with the reliefs,
was a poem which I wrote:
For wind and waves,
and love of sea,
Remember that our love will always be.
Second edition: Hammond School, Columbia, SC
Third edition: Azalea Park, Summerville, SC
